Captain Jerry is a proud U.S. Coast Guard veteran who has spent a lifetime on the water and now brings his deep experience and passion to every trip with Hurricane Charters. Having grown up fishing the waters of Mobile Bay and the Alabama Gulf Coast, Jerry has an unmatched knowledge of the local fishery. Since retiring from the Coast Guard in 2021, he’s been sharing his love of the water through guided fishing charters, helping anglers of all skill levels hook into memorable catches.
Step aboard his custom 24' Blazer Bay, fully equipped for both comfort and performance. The vessel features a sight fishing tower to help you spot fish in the shallows, as well as plenty of deck space for both casting and relaxing. Best Damn Experience
5 Hour Trip red snapper on June 20, 2025 • 5 adults
This was our 1st family fishing experience and Captain Jerry made it a success. It was a short notice trip request and Jerry made it happen seamlessly. We met him at Fort Morgan pier and promptly set off for a 5hr Snapper trip. Jerry took care of us and provided everything. We arrived approximately 9 miles out and immediately started catching Snappers and occasionally other fish. Jerry is a local fisherman and has detailed knowledge of the area. As the bites would drop off he would have us pull up lines so he could move to different spots. As we kept busy pulling in fish Jerry attended to bait, releasing fish and occasionally repairing broke lines. He is easy to talk with. If you are prior military conversations get 10x better. An item to note is his 24ft Blazor Bay. All 6 of us (adults including Jerry) had plenty of room to fish and stay out of each others way. Once finished we set off back to the ramp where Jerry prepped the fish in different manors according to everyone’s request.
The whole experience was spot on and I highly recommend Hurricane Charters if you are looking for a smaller private charter fishing experience. I’ll be back for more with Captain Jerry.

Half day tour with Captain Jerry
5 Hour Trip red snapper on June 1, 2025
We had an amazing experience on our half day fishing trip! From the get-go we were on the fish, stayed busy the entire time! The boat was clean, well equipped and the crew was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Whether you’re an experienced angler or not, it was a fun day on the water. I highly recommend this charter. Great memories great service plenty of fish can’t ask for more!

Great Trip with Captain Jerry
4 Hour Trip – Inshore Experience on June 24, 2025 • 2 adults • 2 children
Jerry was great with my wife and kids (12 & 15). Lots of action kept them involved. Between baiting hooks and replacing lost rigs and taking off fish he was a busy dude, but he was always positive and fun with everyone. I highly recommend him!
