Als je klaar bent om lekker te gaan vissen in Sooke, hoef je niet verder te zoeken dan Sea Leggs Fishing Adventures. Met 14 jaar ervaring als professionele gids rond Vancouver Island, ben je in deskundige handen.
Deze wateren staan bekend om Bultrug Zalm, Groenling (Lingcod), Chinook Zalm, Coho Zalm, Heilbot, Rockfish en meer – met een beetje geluk heb je snel beet.
Voor deze soorten ga je waarschijnlijk trollen met licht materiaal. Je zet zelfs krabvallen uit op de heenweg voor de kans om heerlijke Dungeness krab mee naar huis te nemen!
Als je met het gezin reist, zul je blij zijn te horen dat kinderen welkom zijn aan boord! Als je geen kinderformaat reddingsvest hebt, vraag dan zeker of er een aan boord is. Vergeet geen snacks mee te nemen zodat niemand chagrijnig wordt met een lege maag!
Schipper Jesse verwelkomt je aan boord van een 23' Grady-White sportvisboot met ruimte voor 5 passagiers. De boot heeft downriggers en alle essentiële uitrusting die een vismachine nodig heeft. Er is een toilet aan boord voor je gemak. Je vindt hengels, molens en tackel die op je wachten. Levend aas is inbegrepen, maar je moet de schipper vragen of je het zelf gaat vangen.
Je moet voor de trip een lokale visvergunning kopen. Deze informatie is meestal online beschikbaar, of je kunt het de schipper vragen. Sommige soorten kunnen beschermd zijn of een tag vereisen om ze te mogen houden, dus zorg dat je weet wat je kunt verwachten.
Het is nooit een slecht idee om een hoed, zonnebril, flessenwater en zonnebrandcrème (niet-spray) mee te nemen. Alcohol is toegestaan in matige hoeveelheden, maar probeer sterke drank en glazen flessen te vermijden.

Catch everything trip!

Captain Jesse Legg one of the best captain i have chartered with. He is very responsive in answering all of my questions before the trip, which makes choosing him an easy decision over the other charters.
His boat, rods, reels,lures and tackles were all very well taken care of and work as they were intended to.
For the trip, captain Jesse was very knowledgeable and open. Which make it very welcoming and enjoyable for my family.
As the title says it was a catch all trip. And captain Jesse put us on the fish out catching all of the other 20 boats around us. We caught everything from salmon, ling cod, carbs, even a star fish. And a bonus whale watching show.
Overall we loved our experience with Captain Jesse and would recommend and go back next time.

I had an amazing experience with Sea Leggs Fishing Adventures! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. We got into the salmon early and often — the action was steady and we ended up with an impressive haul by the end of the day. The boat was clean and well-equipped, and it was just a fantastic way to spend time on the water. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just looking for a fun day outdoors, I highly recommend Sea Leggs. I’ll definitely be booking again!

Family of 3, had an excellent time, caught lots of Salmon and Ling Cod, was able to take 3 beautiful Chinook home. Shout out to Cameron for going the extra mile, highly recommended especially for family with kids.

10 Hour Trip op July 3, 2025
I have had the pleasure of fishing with Captain Jesse on multiple occasions. His knowledge of the local waters, what gear to use and where to go are un matched. He is very welcoming to both new and experienced anglers and his gear is always in top condition. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jesse. If there’s fish biting are fish around and biting he will be sure to steer you into them.
