I had an absolute blast on Skylar’s Fishing Charter! Pravin was our captain for the day on an 8-hour charter, and from start to finish, it was an incredible experience. His boat was spotless, fully equipped with all the bells and whistles, and you could tell right away that safety was his top priority. He took the time to explain everything — navigation, fishing techniques, locations, weather patterns, water conditions — which made the whole trip even more interesting and educational. We launched out of Richmond and headed out to drop crab traps near UBC, then set our prawn traps before finishing the day trolling for salmon. I’ve never done crabbing, prawning, and salmon fishing all in one trip before — it was the ultimate BC seafood experience! Before the trip, Pravin was completely upfront and honest, letting me know that salmon fishing had been slow. But he was confident we’d likely limit out on spot prawns and crab — and he was right. Eight hours later, we landed 4 salmon, 6 Dungeness crabs, and trap after trap loaded with spot prawns. And honestly? The spot prawns alone made this trip unforgettable. Being able to bring home fresh spot prawns in February is incredibly rare — you usually have to wait until May to even see them in stores. As a big spot prawn fan, this was a dream come true. This trip was worth every dollar. I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend this charter to anyone in BC or visiting BC. If you want a fun, hands-on, and truly memorable day on the water — this is it!

I booked this fishing charter as a special way to celebrate my father-in-law’s 70th birthday, and it turned out to be the perfect choice.
