Book your next trip with Renegade Fishing Charters and find out what you're missing in Islamorada. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Cole can tell you all about the local fishery.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Sailfish, Vermilion Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Swordfish, Tilefish, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, and anything else that bites. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Cole can also have you kite fishing.
Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites!
You'll be dropping lines from a 34' Hatteras sportfish that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It's customary to tip the Mate 20% to show your appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and a hat. There will be water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own drinks. Alcohol is allowed.

Made my dreams come true
I told the charter I wanted to go specifically for sailfish and I couldn’t have chosen a better day despite the wind and temp fighting against me hahaha . Bite was slow in the beginning but Jessica the mate is a machine constantly back and forth making sure all the lines were good to go . Captain was also a hero on this trip cuz it was windy and cold and he didn’t have any protection against wind or splashing water but he kept his eyes on the water looking for signs of sailfish . Ended up catching not one but 2 sailfish , 1 tuna , 1 cobia , and a needlefish. These guys are awesome , knowledgeable, and professional and made me feel like family . Definitely recommend

Full Day Trip w/Captain Cole
Me and my college friends have been doing an annual fishing trip to Islamorada for the past decade and have always bounced around to different charters. Had a few that we liked, but none that we loved. After spending a full day with Captain Cole, we have officially found our go-to charter. Cole is extremely knowledgeable and skilled at finding fish. We caught our limit of dolphin and had a blast interacting with Cole and his first mate. We were talking to him as if we had known him for years and it made the whole experience much more enjoyable. Whether we caught our limit or not, we were going to have a great day. Looking forward to the next one!

Great day on the water!
Had Captain Carson and mate Zach for a day in pursuit of checking a sailfiah off our bucket list and they didn't disappoint! Been on alot of charter trips and have never experienced the tenacity for getting us on fish like these two showed! worked hard and helped us check a sailfish off the list with a good haul of King Macs and yellowtail snapper for dinners! Though this wasn't the regular captain and mate it was top shelf all around nonetheless! Job well done boys!

Great Time!!
We had a great time on our fishing charter with captain Cole! It was a tough day out there. Weed was scattered, a little choppy, and the fish were finicky, but captain cole didn’t quit. We chased the fish all over and ended up with more mahi and tuna than we can probably handle. Cole was fun and energetic! Hope to get my buddies to come down and go out with captain Cole again soon!

Fantastic trip
From the moment we arrived at the dock side Captain Cole and first mate Ricky made us feel welcome and at home. The boat was well equipped and although the fish were playing up on the day Captain Cole worked extremely hard to find them, which he did! My son and I had a fantastic day and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook the next time we are over! Highly recommend 👍🏼
