LeGrande Slam Sportfishing Charters is a family company owned and operated by two brothers, Daniel and Keith LeGrande. They offer full and half day trips on the Chesapeake Bay to all types of fishermen, from families with small children to competitive anglers who want to hone their tournament fishing techniques. Located out of Virginia Beach at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, they have access to some of the best fishing in the area.
LeGrande Slam I is a 27 ft Judge Yachts center console that is powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine. Cruising at over 20 knots and providing a very stable ride, the boat is perfect for serious fishing at an economical price. LeGrande Slam I is equipped with a range of top of the range electronics for safety and fish finding, and also features outriggers, downriggers, and a live bait tank. The custom tower is perfect for sightfishing for Cobia, while the large ice box and ample storage will make sure your trip is comfortable.
If you happen to have a party bigger than 4 anglers, you should definitely check out their other boat, the LeGrande Slam II! Being more suited for larger groups, it might be just what you need.
With a large variety of potential target species (depending on the season), the LeGrande brothers understand that this is your trip, and they will do everything they possibly can to make it enjoyable. Full day trip with Captain Keith and first mate Ryan!

It felt like we were on a fishing trip with friends and was a laid back, but exciting and fun experience as well. They trolled for Spanish Mackerel and we caught those along with blue fish. We got to site fish for cobia and saw rays and dolphin as well. They were both very knowledgeable and genuine, and worked hard to give us a memorable day on the water. Captain stayed out late and let my wife have a chance to hook a cobia herself, and she did! Ryan tried hard to keep the deck cleaned and checked the tackle regularly. There was good communication before the trip, and they were very prepared for the day of. It was fun watching everyone get excited and experiencing all of the aspects of being on a boat. Ryan filleted the mackerel for us and we blackened it like he recommended. They were delicious and even the fussy in-law’s enjoyed them lol! We would love to fish with them again next time we’re in Virginia! Thank you Captain Keith and Ryan for such a special day, and for introducing us to cobia fishing!

We had a great time fishing with Keith Legrande! This was me, my wife, and our 16 year old daughter's 1st time on a private charter fishing. We have been vacationing in Virginia Beach and this fishing trip by far was the best part of our vacation. It even topped our day at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg! Thanks Keith and we will definitely look you guys up if we make it out this way again from Missouri!

Half Day Trip - Inshore (7-11 AM) op October 12, 2019 • 4 volwassenen
We started off fishing for trout in the mouth of the river. The bite wasn't on yet so we headed out to island 3 of the bay bridge tunnel. After setting up several rigs we caught the 2 drum and 2 sharks. Captain Keith then gave us ample time to try catching some blues, etc., by trolling before heading back in. Great trip!

Tremendous day on the water with Capt Keith and mate Ryan. 7 cobia boated and kept our limit at three with one about 45lbs, plenty of delicious Spanish Mackeral and a fifty pound plus reddish or red drum as a surprise bonus! We had a blast and our third year in a row and will definitely be back! Thanks again!

Had a great half day inshore trip with Captain Keith. Caught Spanish Mackerel and seen several Dolphins. It was catch and release on Cobia due to season not being in, but had a blast catching one. Definitely will be back for another round of fishing!
