We booked this on our last day in New Zealand for our lads, to finish off a boys rugby tour. And what an experience.!! Captin Michael Wang knows all the places to go, over certain reefs etc, and he knows exactly how to fish them, right down to the currents and baiting up tricks. He's an extremely knowledgeable seaman, and been on the water all of his life. You're in great hands with him.!! We were a little pushed for time as had flights to catch, so could only do the 4hr trip, but fishing was hot and Capt Wang wanted us to land a big one before we left so stayed out on the water an extra hour or so. I wasn't expecting much in 4 hours, but omg we had tons.!! Over 50+ Snapper of all sizes, a 2.5ft lemon shark. We did catch a big King Fish, approx 1>1.5m but the line broke and it got away. Even snagged a sea bird. Amazing value for money... and Capt Wang offered to fillet us up some sushi from our catch afterwards, but we didn't have enough time to hang around. Would highly recommend him, will definitely be going again with him if we're ever back in NZ. He was also considerably cheaper than some of the more popular names in the area. 5 Stars 🌟 Thank you Capt Wang 🙏

We had an excellent half day on the water with Michael. As an avid fisherman from Aust our small group appreciated his knowledgeable of the area by putiing us on the fish from the first drop. While the weather wasn’t fantastic (constant rolling swell and pretty heavy winds) 4 of us were able to fish comfortably with Michael looking after all baiting and rerigging required. Our group caught over 50 fish during our 4hrs of fishing. As we are on a cruise from Aust all but 2 were released, which Micheal Sushimi’d for us back at the dock. A great trip and highly recommend!!

Captain Wang is fantastic. I didn’t have high expectations for a 4-hour trip since it’s usually around the harbour, but he went the extra mile to find a great spot, even taking a longer ride. The result was totally worth it, over 20 legal fish for the whole boat within just 2 hours! Captain Wang is friendly, professional, and really knows how to help you catch fish. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great fishing trip. 🎣

We had been on another boat fishing trip before this one. That boat fishing trip was actually our very first one, and we were really disappointed. The captain's attitude, his unclear explanations about address. It just didn't meet our expectations. He didn't even give us life jackets at the beginning. Throughout the trip, it was chaotic, noisy, and there was way too much moving around, so we couldn't fish for long at any one spot. But this time, the experience was completely different. He came out to greet us when we arrived, handed us life jackets as soon as we got on board, and was incredibly kind and welcoming. After reaching the first spot, we didn't move around at all, which allowed us to enjoy fishing in one place for a long time. Exactly what we were hoping for. The atmosphere on the boat was calm and peaceful, allowing us to fully focus on fishing. To top it all off, the captain even prepared sashimi from the fish he caught and served it with snacks and drinks. The boat was extremely clean and well-maintained, and unlike our previous trip, it even had a separate restroom. Considering how affordable this fishing trip was compared to others, both of us were more than satisfied. We highly recommend this captain's fishing tour to anyone! And if we ever go boat fishing again, we'll definitely be booking with him. No question about it!

My two kids and Dad had a great day out in Auckland - kids had a ball and were super happy to get some NZ fishing in on our holiday. Michael was friendly, accomodating and grear communication. Extended the trip, filleted the catch for our lunch. Boys were stoked - would definitely recommend. Thankyou Michael for going above and beyond ☺️
