There's a fish with your name on it in Huntington Beach and Yokley Sportfishing will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Tim can tell you all about them.
These waters are known for Yellowtail Amberjack, Sculpin, Mahi Mahi, California Corbina, California Sheephead, Bluefin Tuna, Sand Bass, Pacific Barracuda, Halibut, Calico Bass, Lobster, Rockfish, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Tim can also help you try kite fishing.
Yokley Sportfishing welcomes kids aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll be casting lines from a 30' Carolina Classic sportfishing vessel with space for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Tim will provide rods and reels for you. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that day dream into a reality, with Yokley Sportfishing.
