Around here it's common to catch Cobia, Bluefish, Black Drum, Jack Crevalle, Flounder, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Bull Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Sheepshead, Short-Tail Red Snapper (Ehu), Speckled Trout, Gray Triggerfish, and more if you come at the right time of year.
During the trip you might be spinning, popping, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks to keep 'em happy!
Capt. John will bring you aboard a 24' Center console with space for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Capt. John will provide rods and reels for you. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
