Depending on the season, you might hook into Wahoo, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Sailfish, Roosterfish, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Goliath Grouper, Mahi Mahi, and who knows what else! On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Zigi can also show you kite fishing.

Trips with Cabo Marlini Sportfishing are kid-friendly, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!

Your boat for the day is a 37’ Bertram sportfishing vessel with space for 7 passengers. It comes with a fighting chair and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. This boat is air-conditioned.

You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.

You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water.  Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
There will be coffee and snacks before boarding.
