Book your next trip with Boomkanani Inshore Adventure Club and find out what the fishing in Olowalu is all about. Captain Jean Barakah will be your guide, offering their local experience.
These waters are known for Green Jobfish, Giant Trevally, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Shortbill Spearfish, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before "Fish on!" During the trip you might be spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Jean Barakah believes in teaching kids to fish while they're young, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Your day begins aboard 13' Hobie kayaks with room for 5 passengers. They come with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Jean Barakah has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Your trip with Boomkanani Inshore Adventure Club is just a click away, so why not make it happen?
