Make an adventure out of your next trip in Destin and go fishing with Charter Boat Snapper Trapper. With Captain Tim at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
These waters are known for Amberjack, Gag Grouper, Mackerel, Red Grouper, Vermilion Snapper, Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Scamp Grouper, Sailfish, Blacktip Shark, Lane Snapper, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be fishing aboard a 36' sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
