Gag Tandbaars, Rode Tandbaars, Batjauwvis, Grote Geelstaart, Grijze Trekkervis, Goudmakreel, Scamp Tandbaars, Zeilvis, Koningsmakreel, Amerikaanse Bot, Rode Snapper, Vermillion Snapper en meer kunnen bijten, afhankelijk van wanneer je gaat. Tijdens deze trips kun je verwachten te trollen en te bodemvissen met zwaar materiaal.
Gezinnen die graag samen vissen zullen blij zijn te horen dat kinderen welkom zijn aan boord! Kinderen moeten zwemvesten dragen, dus vraag of de juiste maat aan boord beschikbaar is. En je kunt niets fout doen met snacks zodat iedereen blij en energiek blijft! Ik heb twee comfortabele stoelen in de cockpit met rugsteun voor gezinnen met leden of vrienden die mobiliteitsproblemen of rugproblemen hebben, we kunnen dit faciliteren. We hebben ook stoelen voorin om vanaf te vissen :)
Je dag begint aan boord van een 23' Wellcraft Scarab Offshore center console die tot 6 passagiers kan vervoeren. Het schip is uitgerust met een drilstoel en alle essentiële zaken waar geen vismachine zonder kan. Er is een toilet aan boord voor je gemak. Hengels, molens en materiaal zijn inbegrepen, evenals kunstaas. Levend aas is beschikbaar, maar het is goed om hiernaar te vragen zodat je weet of je het zelf moet vangen.
Je visvergunning voor de dag wordt gedekt door de charterboot, kom gewoon klaar voor wat vissen! Houd er rekening mee dat je sommige vissen mogelijk moet vrijlaten vanwege regelgeving. Als je niet weet wat je kunt verwachten, vraag het aan de schipper.
Het is nooit een slecht idee om een zonnebril, zonnebrandcrème (geen spray) en een hoed mee te nemen. Gebotteld water zal voor je beschikbaar zijn. Alcohol is in matige mate toegestaan, maar probeer sterke drank en glazen flessen te vermijden.

The best fishing experience!!

Sam knew where the fish would be and he went way out of his way to get us to them! We booked only a 4 hour but he made it worth it! Definitely recommend booking a 6 hour because he had multiple spots for different fish but no way we could do it all in 4 hours! We all caught and got so many vermilion snapper! He had us laughing the whole time and got the kids hyped up too. Landon was quick with putting on the bait and taking them off the hook so we were constantly catching! Not a single complaint and we came home with enough dinner for a week! Hands down the best experience and the best vibes! Sam goes above and beyond to make sure we all had a good catch and a good laugh!

Amazing Experience!!

We had such a wonderful time on Salty Sam’s Charters! From start to finish, Captain Sam was absolutely great. He was incredibly patient, kind, and kept us entertained the whole time with his fun personality. He knows the waters inside and out and navigated the spicy seas with ease. He took us right to the fish, and we were hooked up almost immediately! Whether you’re a beginner or experienced he will make sure you have a fantastic time. We highly recommend booking with Salty Sam’s!!

Half day with Salty Sam!
4 Hour Trip (AM) op March 1, 2026
Where do I begin? Sam was phenomenal. Right out the gate we started the day with a safety briefing which consisted of a full rundown of where all the life jackets, fire extinguishers and life ring were located. He walked us through the water conditions for the day and what to expect. We were underway right at 0900. He expertly navigated the 2ft seas keeping us all as dry as possible, to include shuffling us around to balance the weight. I think it only took us about 20 minutes to get to the first spot. Sam immediately went to work getting hooks baited and anglers setup. We were on some Trigger almost immediately but, to all of our disappointment they were undersized. We floated around the spot for a bit and then really got into some Mangrove snapper. We ended up with about 10 keeper sized before we pushed off in search of more Trigger. The next few spots were dry holes but, considering the water temp and time of year, it was expected. We made our way back to our first spot of the day, landed a nice lane snapper, a beautiful American Red Snapper which we safely returned to the waters. Right before wrapping up for the morning my rod bent in half! Oh man this is the big one. A short but fun fight later I landed the 19" flounder that you see in the image above. The whole boat was excited, we bent the dip net and it was a nice way to finish out the trip. We cruised back to the marina got unloaded, divided up the catch. Sam cleaned bagged and iced everything for everyone and we were on our way home. Was a really fantastic outing despite not hooking into many of our targeted species. Will definitely book again.

My family and I have been out 3x with Captain Sam, and will be plenty more to come! Each time has been a unique experience and location he has taken us to, he knows all the fishing holes!
Prior to owning a boat ourselves, we rented Captain Sam’s boat for a full week and during that week had Sam take out our extended family for a fishing trip, he certainly did not disappoint! We had an absolute blast as he put us right on the mark outside the Pensacola Pass.
Our second time we launched out of Fort Walton area and went out the Destin pass and again, didn’t disappoint and was impressed he knew marks in both areas! Destin is great because you find yourself not needing to go out as far as Pensacola.
The third and most recent time (see photos) we actually owned our own boat at this point and we hired Sam to come Captain our boat and take us out to some Pensacola fishing spots! My boys and I had an absolute blast all thanks to Sam!
We have caught it all with Sam - Snappers (Lane, Vermillion, Reds), Triggerfish, Grouper, Dolphin, Flounder, Tuna… always knowledgeable about our catch and fish rules.

we came out in February when the water was cold and not a lot of fish to be caught but still had an amazing experience. capt sam was a great guy and brought us to his spots that he new fish would be and sure enough they where there. we had our 8 yr with us and he also made him feel special and took the time to show him how it was done and even let him help capt the boat. If you want a good time pick the salty sam you will not regret it. thank you capt sam
