If you plan on fishing in Fort Morgan, look no further than Blue's Charters.
These waters are known for Black Drum, Cobia, Flounder, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Pompano, Redfish, Sheepshead, Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself!
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Sawyer also offers Flounder gigging.
Trips with Blue's Charters are fun for all ages, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll be fishing aboard a 24' Center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.
Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Glass bottles are not allowed.

BEST Snapper Trip ever
4 Hr Red Snapper Morning Trip on August 2, 2025
We went on a snapper fishing trip with Captain Sawyer, and it was hands down one of the best fishing experiences I’ve ever had. I dont think I would book with anyone else as i know i would be disappointed if it was not as good as this trip. From the moment we left the dock, it was clear that Captain Sawyer knew exactly what he was doing. He put us right on the fish and kept us on them the entire trip.
Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about snapper fishing, but he was very patient and great at helping me since it was my first trip. Whether you’re an experienced or new to offshore fishing, he makes the whole experience fun. He explained everything perfectly!!
The boat was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable, and Captain Sawyer clearly takes pride in running a professional operation. We caught plenty of snapper and had an absolute blast doing it.
If you’re looking for a great offshore fishing trip with a captain who works hard to put you on fish and make sure everyone has a great time, I highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Sawyer. I’ll definitely be going again.

Great spring trip
4 Hr Inshore/Nearshore Morning Trip on April 9, 2025
Cpt Sawyer did a great job keeping us in the sheepshead bite during our April trip! We were also able to catch some bonus Spanish Mackerel! Cpt Sawyer was very knowledgable about the areas history and did a great job on entertaining throughout the trip! He also gave many great ways to cook the catch! Definitely my choice for future inshore bookings anytime we make a trip to the Fort Morgan/Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area!

Great family experience!
