Hello, my name is Captain Mark Hlis. I am originally from North Miami, and am a Flats Charter Guide based out of Bud N' Mary's Marina here in Islamorada now for over 19 years.

My charters usually consist of fly fishing for Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, Snook or Redfish. Quietly poling the flats with sight fishing is the primary standard. Charters are mostly fly fishing with a fair amount of light tackle spinning.

The boat is a Hells Bay Professional 17.8 with a Yamaha F70. This is a proven skiff which is ultra quiet for getting close to wary Florida keys gamefish. It can handle chop and floats in a mere 5". Guest capacity is for space up to 2 anglers.
It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.
All rods and reels are provided for you, along with flies, lures and terminal tackle. Nautilus Reels with G. Loomis rods are supplied for fly trips and Penn rods and reels for spinning.
Fly and spin fishing of any level is welcomed. In addition, fly or spin lessons are no issue and are easily given at your request.
