Mystic Amara Fishing Charters is gevestigd in Jolly Harbour, Antigua, en organiseert het hele jaar door bodemvis- en diepzeevistrips. Schipper Leroy heeft meer dan 20 jaar ervaring en kan u de beste plekken laten zien voor een scala aan vissoorten die in dit deel van het Caribisch gebied te vinden zijn.
U gaat vissen aan boord van de Mystic Amara III, een 31' Bertram offshore sportvisboot, aangedreven door twee 200 PK Volvo-motoren. Naast alle benodigde veiligheids- en navigatieapparatuur heeft de boot ook een koelbox en een privétoilet voor langere trips. Er is voldoende ruimte aan boord voor maximaal zes personen, en de schipper voorziet in flessenwater, frisdrank en bier voor uw plezier.
Afhankelijk van wat u wilt vangen, kunt u tot ongeveer tien mijl uit de kust varen. De meeste trips gaan echter niet verder dan vier mijl van de kust, wat u comfortabel op dieptes van 100' tot 300' brengt. Enkele vissoorten die u het hele jaar door kunt vangen zijn Geelvintonijn en Zwartvintonijn, Goudmakreel, Wahoo en anderen, terwijl Blauwe Marlijn en Koningsmakreel het beste gevangen kunnen worden tijdens de zomermaanden.
De prijs is inclusief alle benodigde hengels, molens en eindmateriaal, evenals de vereiste visvergunningen. Zorg ervoor dat u een gepolariseerde zonnebril meeneemt, evenals een camera om uw vangst te laten zien, en ook omdat de vergezichten u zeker de adem zullen benemen.
We vertrekken vanaf de aanlegplaats bij Basilico Restaurant in het Jolly Harbour Commercial Center.

Excellent time on board the Mystic Amara

We're an experienced crew and Captain Leroy along with 1st Mate Aaron put us on the fish. We knew it would be an adventure when the outriggers were touching. As soon as we cleared the reef we were already trolling and nearly right away a barracuda was brought in. After a few more 'cudas and then the purple teaser started singing. Spoke too soon and the fish spit the hook. This happened once more, then we were finally able to get 1 wahoo over the rails. Followed up by a few mahi and some bonito, we had a full day out of the 6 hour trip. The boat was very clean and comfortable. Captain and mate were very friendly, knowledgeable, and shared the eagerness to put some fish in the box. Highly recommend this boat and crew. I just wished they could do a resort pickup, but I understand all resorts may not have the ability to handle the deeper hulls and this could also shorten your fishing time. Driving to the pickup site was an adventure in itself, but doable. We'll be back for the Mystic Amara!

Another Fantastic Fishing Trip

Shoutout to Captain Leroy and First mate Arron on another great fishing trip in the books. Captain had my wife and I on fish in no time, landing a total of 8, 1 Mahi-mahi & 7 Barracudas. You couldn’t ask for a better crew, Captain coming down from upper deck to assist when needed, and Arron in constant support helping us to fight the fish, tending to the lines and bait, on top of keeping the deck safe and clean. Thank you again, let’s make it 3 years in a row!

my wife and i went out fishing with mystic amara for a 1/2 day morning trip. captain Leroy and first mate Edwin greeted us
and gave a quick safety and boat info chat. The boat was spotless and well
equipped. We were onto our first fish quickly and more followed. The crew worked hard making all 8 lines were out and freshly baited. We landed 7 fish, 3 species and brought a black fin tuna back to our resort where they cooked it up for our dinner. It tasted amazing. All in all an enjoyable experience.

Great Day of Fishing in July

We had a great time on our fishing charter in Antigua. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. With six of us on board, we ended up catching four fish—plenty of excitement and some fun competition among the group!
The boat was clean and well-equipped, and the views of the coastline were a nice bonus. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just looking for a fun outing on the water, this is a solid choice. Would definitely recommend!

Extended Day Marlin Trip op May 1, 2026 • 6 volwassenen
Group of three went for a full day marlin trip. Did not catch any marlin, but landed 2-20+ lb mahi, 2 blackfin tuna, and a 20lb wahoo. Conditions were good and the crew was a good time. Would recommend and do again.
