Aquatica Fishing Charters organiseert vistrips vanuit Malta. Of u nu wilt vissen op de toproviders van de Middellandse Zee of wilt vissen op bodemvis voor een heerlijk gerecht rond de riffen en richels, deze crew van lokale vissers heeft precies dat in petto. Het enige wat u hoeft te doen is meekomen en de schippers zorgen ervoor dat u alle benodigde uitrusting heeft en brengen u naar waar de vis is.

Uw vaartuig voor de dag is een 33' Targa boot die wordt aangedreven door een 250 PK Volvo Penta motor. De boot is groot genoeg om maximaal acht vissers aan boord te laten gaan en deze viswateren te ontdekken met voldoende ruimte. Het vaartuig is uitgerust met GPS, een fishfinder, heeft alle veiligheidsuitrusting, beschikt over een toilet en heeft een selectie aan hengels, molens en materiaal. Er is een koelbox aan boord waar u de vis kunt bewaren.

Trips met Aquatica vinden het hele jaar door plaats en u zult vissen nabij de riffen en ver op open zee. De afstand die u aflegt hangt af van de vis die u wilt vangen, het weer en het type trip. Als u op zoek bent naar Goudmakreel en Witte Tonijn, moet u ongeveer 10-20 mijl varen om ze te vangen, maar sommige dagen brengt de vis veel dichter bij de kust. Of u kunt zelfs naar de andere kant van het eiland varen voor maximale resultaten.

U zult trollen en bodemvissen. Dood aas is direct beschikbaar voor de trip, maar soms vangt u tijdens de trip vers levend aas om de beste kansen te hebben op het binnenhalen van een trofee-formaat roofvis. Schippers Chris en Daryl zullen goed voor u en uw gezelschap zorgen. Ze kennen deze wateren uitstekend en zorgen ervoor dat u fantastisch kunt vissen.

Wat betreft de trip: draag schoenen met antislip rubberen zolen. Omdat het weer kan veranderen, kunt u het beste een jas en een lange broek meenemen en in lagen kleden. Vergeet niet om een zonnebril, een hoed en zonnebrandcrème mee te nemen. Neem een camera mee, want u wilt een goede foto van uw vangst maken. Alle brandstof, vergunning, schipperskosten, visuitrusting, aas en drankjes zijn inbegrepen in de tripprijs.

We met with our wonderful captain Daryl Borg Cardona at his ship 20 Minutes earlier as discussed and he was already ready for the trip. We had a nice weather with slow wind (5km/h) but relatively large waves around 1m which we had to used to. (If you are not experienced with constantly moving boat, take some pills to avoid the uncomfortable suprise surface feeding). We booked a 6 person Private package and he fulfilled all our wishes. Explaned about the different fishing techniques from which we tested 2 of them. First we caught 2 jumpfin tune with trolling then we stop at a reef and caught plenty of pearly razorfish with calamari baits. He helped for the less experienced family members to set up the baits and unhook the caught fish. He also prepared the fish for cooking if you wish to taste your catch afterwards. I could spend much more time with him on his very well equipped boat (radar system, position holding electric motor, onboard toilet etc.) We were back at the harbour with big smile with our faces. One bucketlist (fishing on the sea with my fater) was accomplished! I can just recommend this trip.

The captain was amazing and very polite gave us a demonstration on how to use the equipment and very quickly we were realing in all different types of fish species. Captain Daryl made all efforts for us to catch as many fish as possible constantly changing spots if no one had any bites ensuring we would all catch something. His knowlege was very impressive, knowing everything about the fish, names and which were ok to touch. I came on the trip for my birthday and it did not dissappoint at all and the price is really really good. I really recomend going with Captain Daryl

We fish a lot, so I don’t say this lightly when I tell you that you dont need to look anywhere else for a fishing charter in Malta. Captain Daryl is the best. He works hard to put you on the fish, has a ton of experience and was just great talking about fishing all day with him. He has a top notch Grady White boat with top electronics and a spot lock motor. His tackle is all top tier and we had a great day on the water. We booked last minute, and got back to me right away about availability. Boat and dock super easy to find. Combo trip was the way to go, as we looked for the bigger pelagics then transitioned to some really good size black bream, and finally some bottom fish before going back to trolling again. Great day, perfect weather, excellent captain. I brought my 7 year old son with me who keeps asking when are we going back again.

Amazing 5hr trip - everyone caught something

Daryl was brilliant from start to finish. We were an inexperienced group and he made a great effort to explain what he was doing and why he was doing it, such as choosing the spot, and which lines we were using to target which species. We had a fighter get away from us, but then went to a reef and did some spinning and caught loads of little fish, like trigger fish, razer fish and seabream. He helped each of us get the technique right, and by the end we walked away with a bag full enough for dinner. We would absolutely love to go out again with Daryl - so hope to return to Malta soon! Highly recommend :)

Our guide was excellent in communicating via the FishingBooker app and was flexible on timing for our adventure. He was kind, patient and knowledgable and we caught over 20 small fish. We had two kids with us (age 9 and 11) and he ensured that they caught several and was very conscious of safety and fun. The area itself just gorgeous and the boat and equipment were all well kept and nice! We had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend this to anyone! Getting to the pier from the cruise ship dock was challenging as the long line of taxi's off the ship only wanted to offer tours so this was an unexpected stressor. The walk to the pier is lovely but takes ~45 minutes. I would advise a bit more pre-planning than I did on this if you are a cruise passenger! Certainly not anything to do with the wonderful fishing adventure but a smooth transfer from ship to pier will hopefully enhance your experience.
