Funthaisea Game Fishing invites you to explore the amazing aquatic opportunities Phuket has to offer. If you are a jigging enthusiast or a bottom fisherman, the crew has something interesting to offer.

Let them take you just 12 miles south of Phuket to Koh Racha. There, you will find two fantastic islands with a lot of fish, beautiful coral bays, and warm waters. Racha Yai and Racha Noi are the places to be if you are up to some fine angling.

Target Giant Trevally early in the summer by jigging south of Racha Noi. Go for King Mackerel, and Tuna anytime from November until April. Bottom fish for Snapper and Grouper. Go out in summer for Wahoo and Mahi Mahi.

Enjoy your day aboard one of our a 50’ fishing machines. She used to serve as a great vessel for commercial fishing in the past. All of our boats has been fully refurbished and has all the comfort you need for a day on the water.

A boats are equipped with a dining table, a toilet, beds, soft chairs, and a sun deck. She comes powered by a 285 HP Hino Diesel engine and can comfortably take up to six anglers.

All trips with Funthaisea Game Fishing come with top-quality gear and tackle by Shimano, Penn International, Rapala, and Marlin. You will also be provided with lunch, soft drinks, water, fruits, coffee, and tea. Snorkeling equipment is available on board in case you want to take a dip in those beautiful waters.

8 Hour Trip – Ko Racha Yai on January 12, 2026 • 3 adults

from the initial booking, to directions to find the boat at the pier - everything was simple. The boat was great and the captain/crew got some rods out we had 8 tuna. They prepared one for our lunch (which was amazing) in the afternoon we stopped for a swim/snorkel before heading off to do some jigging. we orobably had around 20 fish of all different types. A great day out.

Communication absolutely spot on. We do a private charter every for last couple of years and by far the most organised, professional, hard working crew we have experienced yet. Finally found our go to team. They tailored our trip to suit us. Late departure to suit fishing we wanted to do. Hotel transfers spot on. Crew knowledgeable and friendly. Gear of great quality and in good condition. Highly recommend the private charter to suit your needs. Will be back next year!

8 Hour Trip – Ko Racha Yai on March 1, 2025 • 3 adults

Amazing trip!! We caught 8 black tuna 1,5-3kg size (approx) and a few unnamed fish. At one occasion my son had three tunas on the same catch! The crew did not speak much English but it was ok and they handled everything perfectly. Good quality gear and a very nice boat with AC inside and a top section for chilling out. We also saw a huge Giant Manta circling the boat - that was honestly the most magic of all. Even the crew were excited. They then took us to a small bay at Koh Racha Noi with just one more boat that left early and then we had it all for our selves. Amazing snorkeling! And the lunch with sashimi on the tuna we just caught was wonderful. The day could not have been better! Choose Sergey and his crew - you will not be disappointed.

What a great day! Skipper Cha and Deck hand Alex made sure we had an awesome time. They went above and beyond. It was myself, my girlfriend, and her 5 year old son, and they had never been fishing and had a blast! Her son is quite the firecracker, and Alex was very patient with him and helped him fish and snorkel. We caught some tuna and Alex cut us up some of the most buttery sashimi I’ve ever had. The snorkeling was so much fun! We spent some extra time in the water because we enjoyed it so much. The food was amazing!! Quite a great spread and there was plenty provided. Can’t recommend highly enough. Tip well!! They deserve it!

Great time with funthaisea

Multi-day Trip – Fishing Safari on February 5, 2025 • 4 adults

Sergei was super professional and helpful. We had a last minute change of boat (my fault) and he handled it within minutes. Got us on a great boat with a great crew. Captain Dan and his crew were kind, funny, helpful, and exceptional fishermen. They helped us for 3 days and managed to get our party of 6 about 2 dozen fish, including 19 tuna, 2 trevally, 1 snapper, and a pair of king mackerel. The food on the boat was a hit with everyone on board. The quality and quantity was excellent. Suna sashimi, deep fried tuna bites, trevally in a tomato and onion sauce, several different curries, and a great Tom yum. I'm certainly missing something, but the experience was just so fun it's hard to remember what all to include. I will certainly be booking through funthaisea again, possibly even making this a yearly event.
