Kick off the year by heading out on the water and having a little winter adventure. You’ll find that the Redfish and Trout bite is great. And if you’re looking for a freshwater excursion, Largemouth and White Bass are biting.

Redfish and Speckled Trout are joined by Black Drum in February, so you have a variety of options to choose from. And you can always go after Bass and Catfish in the rivers and lakes of Houston.

With spring on our doorstep, the fish are slowly starting to wake up, so you’ll find Redfish, Trout, Black Drum, and Spanish Mackerel are biting in the bays. In the lakes and rivers, you’ll find the Bass and Crappie bite is consistent.

Hit the bays in April and enjoy some great fishing going after Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Mackerel. And if you head to the deep waters, you’ll get the chance to battle Mahi Mahi as well. Bass, Crappie, and Catfish are great freshwater targets in April.

This is when the fishing really starts to heat up! You’ll find a variety of fish biting hard, including Redfish, Trout, Mackerel, Cobia, and different Shark species. In the lakes and rivers, Bass, Crappie, Catfish, and Carp are all possible targets.

Nothing beats summer in Texas. All the fish come out to play as the temperatures warm up, so hit the bays for some great action with Sharks, Redfish, Trout, and Flounder. Stay inland if you’re looking for Largemouth Bass or Crappie.

With summer in full swing, the fishing season reaches its peak in July. Trout, Flounder, Redfish, Sharks, and Mackerel are all biting hard. Visit the freshwaters for some Bass action, as well as great chances of reeling in Catfish and Crappie.

And as the summer continues, so does the fishing. Visit Houston in August for great chances of reeling in prized Redfish, Trout, and Flounder, as well as Mackerel and Mahi Mahi. Largemouth and White Bass are biting as well.

With fall slowly coming to Houston, the temperatures drop, but there’s still a lot of fishing to be done. You can go after Redfish, Trout, and Flounder in the bays, or head to one of the city’s lakes or rivers for Bass and Crappie action.

As the temperatures drop in October, you’ll find that fishing stays great in Houston. Visiting the lakes and rivers will let you go after Bass, Crappie, and Catfish, while hitting the bays will yield great results with Redfish, Trout, and Flounder.

As winter slowly approaches, you’ll find that November is quieter, making it a good time to relax and enjoy some fishing. Redfish, Trout, and Flounder are all biting, as well as Largemouth and White Bass in the freshwater lakes.
