These fish are fun to catch and even better to eat. Using light tackle to hook these species is a popular technique throughout Alabama, and will also see you reeling in Mackerel and Tripletail.

A half day excursion is the perfect introduction to these waters, and will generally see you returning to land with a full cooler. Full day adventures give you the chance to cover more ground, hit both the reefs and marshes, and stock the cooler with even more fish!
There are a variety of departure points dotted all around Mobile Bay, and you’ll find charter boats launching out of every one. The majority of captains, however, are docked along the barrier islands, with Dauphin Island, Fort Morgan, and Gulf Shores being especially popular. On the mainland? Head to Fairhope, Daphne, or Mobile.
