Edgewater Bluefish Fishing Charters

A quick trip on the Chesapeake Bay is still plenty of time to get some great fishing done. Your main target will be Striped Bass, but you can also count on Bluefish to be present.

You will fish for 6 hours targeting Chesapeake Bay Trophy Striped Bass. Your trip will take you to the waters of Chesapeake with the possibility to do bottom fishing, live lining, and chumming. Your targeted species can also include Perch, Croaker, Spot and Black Drum. ​​

This is a 6-hour long fishing trip for Striped Bass, Redfish, Black Drum, Bluefish, Cobia, Crabs, White Perch, Spanish Mackerel, and Whiting. May-mid august striped bass, white perch late august-mid September cobia, red drum , bluefish , spanish mackerel

Head out bright and early and spend 6 hours fishing the productive inshore waters! You'll be back on shore by noon with fresh catch in tow. All of your gear is included and the first mate will clean and fillet your catch. He works hard and for tips only. A 20% gratuity is customary.

This exciting 8-hour trip will take you where the fish are, and the captain will do everything he can to help you catch them. You'll be on a mission of targeting Striped Bass, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Red Drum, and many others.

If you're looking to experience everything the Chesapeake Bay has to offer a prospective angler, this trip is for you. We can target Rockfish aka Striped Bass, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, White Perch, Spot and Croaker aka Hardhead. Methods employed are seasonal to include trolling, live-lining, chumming, bottom fishing, drift fishing.

The Mallard will leave the dock around 6:00 a.m. for 6 hours of charter fishing. Your charter will take you out into the waters of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay targeting Rockfish (Striper/Striped Bass) by trolling, live-lining, chumming, and bottom fishing. You will return to the dock around 12:00 p.m. Light snacks and bottled water are provided. NOTE: 20% gratuity for the mate is customary and not included in the price of the charter. Departure and return times may vary.

During the summer rock fishing season, anglers may keep 1 fish per person with a minimum size of 19 inches. Bottom fishing for Spot and Perch and trolling for Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel may also happen during this season.

Here’s a summary of a typical day. Depart at first light and run down the bay at a smooth 40mph. You'll get on the front casting deck waiting for the crew to call out a fish. You cast, work the bait, then BAM! Fish on! That’s what sight fishing for giant Cobia and Redfish is about!
