Dauphin Island Cobia Fishing Charters

The captain's 6-hour inshore trips consist of fishing around Mobile Bay and the surrounding rivers for Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, Tripletail, Sheepshead, etc. All of his inshore trips are run out of Weeks Bay boat launch near Fairhope, Al., but other pickup locations for Gulf Shores, Ft. Morgan / Dauphin Island can be arranged if conditions allow.

Your lines will be in the water after about half an hour of traveling to the best fishing spot. Most trips will start with catching live bait – please let the captain know before your trip if you'd prefer for this to be purchased beforehand. The species you'll target depend on the season, and may include Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Amberjack, Cobia, Redfish, Tripletail, and whatever else is biting. When you return to the marina, your captain will clean your catch.

March & April Spring Break Special: Flat rate covers up to 15 guests (normally 10). Private charter with room for up to 23 total. Bring your own food and drinks, fire up the grill, and spend 8 hours trolling and bottom fishing in spring Gulf weather. Perfect for big families and college crews splitting the cost. A full day reef trolling trip. Throughout the year different species will be in season. Depending on the season, we will try for Snapper, Trigger, Cobia, Shark, and Mackerel. The captain covers you for all the bait, license, tackle, as well as fish cleaning. The crew will do their absolute best to make sure you have an enjoyable day on the water. We leave from Dauphin Island Marina or pick up at Fort Morgan. Licenses, bait, ice, and bottled water are supplied. Trips are available 7 days a week when weather permits. Six customers is the legal limit for a trip.

This 6-hour trolling and bottom trip will target a limit of large Red Snapper in federal waters, as well as allow time to troll for King and Spanish Mackerel on the way in and out.

Starting May 24th, 2023. Red Snapper season will be open and we will be filling up the boat with these big, delicious, and aggressive reef fish. We can bring them home Fri-Mon. If you are not concerned with stocking your freezer we can also fish tues-thurs catch and release. We will catch other saltwater species as well such as Cobia, King Mackerel, and Grouper. We start the trip at a private dock, and shortly after introductions head south. It is about a 15-mile run to underwater reefs.
