Wilmington Sailfish Fishing Charters

Hardcore anglers looking to go further out in search of bigger targets – look no further! Explore the productive waters out of Wrightsville Beach and reel in the likes of King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, and many more. Capt. Jonathan provides all the gear and live bait you need for a successful day. Bring along enough drinks and snacks to keep you going and don't forget the sunscreen!

A full day trip allows more fishing time, up to 30 miles out. On this full day trip we will be targeting King Mackerel, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, and other game fish. A fishing license and gear are provided.

We leave the dock early, as it takes 2 plus hours to reach the gulfstream. We start off our day trolling for the poligic fish as the sun is just rising off the horizon. We finish off our day bottom fishing for our meat fish such as groupers, B liners, cobia, (red-snapper when in season) and much more. We always provide waters to drink. Make sure to bring a cooler with your food, snacks and other bevereges, and to transport your catch home. Dont forget hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen lotion!

A full day allows for more time to get to the offshore fishing grounds at up to 30 miles out. You will be targeting larger Kingfish, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish and other game fish.

Stay in the inshore or nearshore waters up to 5 miles from the coastline. You'll spend 5 hours going after exciting species such as King and Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Cobia, and even Sharks. Try bottom fishing and jigging and you may just get to take a tasty treat home with you.

This is one of your captain's most popular and fun trips! He'll show you the best techniques to use, and will make sure you're hooked up with rods, reels, bait, lures, tackle, and a fishing license. What better way to spend your day on North Carolina's coast, than by getting out to the rich waters of the Atlantic and getting your fish on? Head out to the deep waters, testing your bottom fishing skills on the wrecks, while you also troll the open waters. Grouper, Snapper, Grunt, and Black Seabass. King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, and many more prized fish call these waters home, so get ready for a fun-filled productive day out on the water.

Our personal favorite trip. We will be running about 55-60 miles out to the gulfstream to troll with heavy tackle for Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi and Sailfish. This trip can be great year round and is also very good in the winter months for Wahoo and Tuna. We will also do a little bottom fishing on this trip if the trolling is slow.

This trip allows us to push out even farther in pursuit of pelagics and hard-pulling bottom fish. The range of this trip can vary from 10-30 miles depending on where the bite is. This trip allows for a greater likelihood of encountering Mahi Mahi on the troll and tasty bottom fish like Grouper and Snapper. During certain times of the year casting poppers, jigging, and live baiting around weed lines can be very productive as well.
