Rio Hondo Snook Fishing Charters

Fishing in the Port of Brownsville is a day of mostly throwing artificial lures trying to get a monster Snook to bite. The day consists of trolling slowly along the edge of the ship channel. We fish little inlets, and some structure along the way. There are other fish that we catch in that process, like black drum, red drum, trout, and occasionally tarpoon.

Spend the whole day around the flats of the Lower Laguna Madre, chasing Red and Black Drum, Trout, Pompano, Flounder, and more. You can fish with artificial or live bait (depending on availability). You will get all the fishing gear onboard, but need to bring along a valid Texas saltwater fishing license. These trips work the best for anglers with some experience or real fishing enthusiasts.

This 5-hour trip is reserved for chasing after Flounder, Snook, Mangrove Snapper, Whiting, Shark, Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, and many others. You'll be at the best fishing spots in no more than 10 minutes. Both lures and live bite will be on the boat at your disposal.

This half day trip is a great introduction to angling for newer anglers, as well as being the perfect way to hook yourself some tasty table fare. Capt. Chris will take you out to the most productive spots in the lower Laguna Madre, where you'll target Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. You'll be provided with top-quality fishing gear, and live bait is available at an additional cost. Just make sure you purchase a fishing license beforehand!
