Salem Bluefin Tuna Fishing Charters

You're guaranteed to have fun on this 5-hour trip using light tackle or fly. The captain will show you the hottest fisheries of Boston Harbor and make sure you have a great time.

On this five-hour long trip, you will target Striped Bass and Bluefish that like the water to be moving. This is why Captain Scott coordinates the trip around the tide cycles. You will use light tackle gear when targeting Bass and Bluefish. Depending on the seasonality you will troll, drift, anchor, or use live bait to target the fish. They provide circle hooks to protect the fishery.

This extended full-day trip gives you a chance of a lifetime to hook and catch giant Bluefin Tuna. You will head up to 20 miles offshore and fish for 10-12 hours.

The all-day trip allows you to travel to the fishing grounds further offshore without sacrificing any fishing time. This will get you to some deeper waters where you can get a chance to hook some seriously big fish!

Go after the strongest fish in the ocean and fulfill a lifelong dream. Fighting these giants is a lot of work a lot of time and a lot of fun! Additionally, we occasionally hook up to large species of Shark and see whales. The trip starts early in the morning, this is a long day of fishing. Plan on 10+ hours – trips have gone from before sun up to after sunset. We usually hook up with fish in the 300-1000lb category.

Offshore fishing for giant tuna and sharks. With a variety of fish to catch for the table as well. It's a long ride but battling a 90-inch tuna or a 300-pound porbeagle shark is a fish of a lifetime. Whales are usually around. This trip always comes with a deckhand. Weather must be perfect as fishing offshore 30 miles is not something ' I 'the captain take lightly. Bass Fishing can always be substituted as inshore fishing we can fish in choppy weather. Trip Price would be reduced to a bass trip.

The City Hawk II has it's federal permit to be able to keep and sell giant bluefin tuna. If your charter comes out on a day where we are able to keep a giant, the boat keeps the fish, and is sold to a licensed dealer. You will be able to keep the tail of the fish, have amazing pictures next to it, and also go home with a small amount of meat from the head steaks, and tail steaks. Generally, the City Hawk II will tuna fish on Stellwagen Bank, or Jeffery's Ledge.

To target Bluefin Tuna, Sharks, groundfish, or Whale watching, requires a longer run to offshore banks. These trips typically require a 45 – 60 minute run to the fishing grounds, and become much more dependent upon favorable weather patterns. However, when conditions are right, offshore trips offer a whole new world of opportunity. Because of the longer run, a 6-hour trip is a minimum, with 8 hours being the norm, and 10 hrs a norm for serious tuna fishing
