Words can’t describe how great this experience with Captain Chris was.  Not only did he make sure that the day was a blast from start to finish, but he knows EVERYTHING about these waters.  The knowledge he has is generational and he’s spent his entire life fishing the Jacksonville waters.

To put it this way, we were so successful that we packed our massive cooler to the brim, set tons aside to give to family and friends, gave Chris almost half of the catch because we couldn’t imagine taking any more home, we’re giving bags of fish filets out to strangers at the marina, and still can’t fit half of what we brought home in our freezer.

My husband and I have been fishing a million times but this was our first deep sea experience.  This man knows how to find and catch fish like no other.  He taught us so much and was so fun to spend that 8 hours with.  We went to multiple different spots, including a couple old shipwrecks that were VERY active. 

Had we been inshore with Chris, we would probably have caught even more, which is a scary thought!  I’m sure that charter would have been insane as well.  We will most certainly be booking with him again this summer.

Lastly, Chris has all positive reviews, minus maybe two outliers.  Just as a reminder when you do book with him: you’re GOING to have an amazing time out there.  But if you happen to go out on a day where the weather isn’t the best, the water is a little choppy, or the fish just aren’t biting that day, just remember that’s the way it goes sometimes.  It has nothing to do with his ability.  If you can’t go out and catch a ton of fish with Chris, then no one could have helped you that day. 

Thanks again, Chris!  We can’t wait for our next charter with you but will need to wait a while until we clear space in the freezer or make more friends. ?

Can’t say enough about our day off-shore with Capt Chris! We’ve booked a number of Florida trips through the app—but Chris has been our favorite.  He was engaged,  knowledgeable and social. 3 good friends in the 50s just wanted to “rip some lips”-’ and Capt Chris put us on the fish. I think we hit on every spot he chose. We all 3 had a blast catching 3 Trigger fish,  15 Vermilion snapper, 18 Amberjack, 4 BEAUTIFUL Red Snapper (restricted and returned—but DAMN they looked good!); and one us even put in 45 mins bringing a 7ft Sandbar shark alongside the boat—all on a 6 hour trip that took us 20 miles off the coast. Capt Chris was everything we expected and more. We meet in Jax Beach once a year and he’ll be our choice again next year. We finished the night with cooking thos 3 Trigger fish (Amazing!) and a half dozen Vermilion snapper filets. Everything we wanted and more. Enuff said!

Chris the best captain I have ever fished with. We did an 8 hour run with six anglers, catching live bait was a lot of fun, got on some good size barracudas, a king, three sharks, triggerfish, porgies, red snappers that we had to throw back and our limit of 30 vermillion snapper. Great way to fill a cooler with fillets, chris expertly filleted everything for us. Will definitely book with him again.
