After being cancelled on Wednesday morning at 6:40 am for an 8:00 am charter I was scrambling to try to get my son out before we left to head back to chicago. Luckily we found Joe! He went out of his way to meet us earlier just to make sure we could a good day of fishing in. He was great with helping and instruction. My 11 year old son loved it and he was great with him also. Joe was very knowledgable of the area, very professional and so personalable and attentive to my needs.  He had 6 rods rigged and ready to go for me so that I was never without a rod in my hand.  My goal was to learn to fish with artificial bait for Sea Trout, Red Fish and Snook in the mangrove islands east of Goodland.  At one point, I hooked a fish on every cast catching over 25 Sea Trout.  Joe taught me several ways to present the different types of artificial bait with different rod action... Joe was an amazing guide! He put us right on the fish every time. My husband caught his first saltwater fish on his fly rod, a snook, and I got my first jack! Joe has a relaxed personality, was great company, and shared so much knowledge about the Everglades. We had such a fun and memorable day — highly recommend him!

Took a 4-hour charter with Joe out of Everglades City. Original plan was leave from Flamingo, but Joe texted me a few days in advance saying the winds were going to be too strong down there. He took us all around the mangroves to different spots he likes. He was attentive, helpful, and friendly. Would definitely book a charter with Joe again.
