On a family vacation and made the last minute decision to go fishing. 4 men total, 2 of the 4 guys were new to fishing. Got in contact with JW charters literally the night before on the fish booker app, and after some messages back and forth, decided to book. By far the best decision we have made this whole vacation! Jon was a great captain and very informational as this was our first time fishing outside of our home state. He was explaining to us, with great knowledge, the different species in the water, what baits to use, what techniques, and what we were targeting that day. All 4 of us limited out on Red Fish and Trout in a 4 hour window. We caught plenty of fish as a group and I guarantee, the 2 guys that fished today as beginners, picked up a new hobby by the time we got back to the docks. Whether you are new to fishing, and would just enjoy being on the water, reeling it in and taking a photo without touching anything, OR want to be more hands on and get taught the techniques of fishing with soft plastics and other baits, without a doubt, Jon is your guy! The only regrets I have are: 1. not booking a longer time slot because we had a blast! and 2. not bringing my 3 year old son, I made the decision to come with only adults this time and there is no doubt in my mind, we would have got him on some fish and he would have had the time of his life just like we did! 100% going to be staying in touch with Jon and booking again!

Captain John was wonderful! It was the first trip with my 9 and 7 year old so I was a little nervous how it would play out. After several text messages back and forth I knew we would be in good hands. Safety was important for myself and Captain John as well. He and I both were flexible when storms rolled in and shut down booking to move us to a much clearer day! Upon arrival he was super nice to all of us. Especially my boys. He explained what the plan was and off we went! I appreciate we went after multiple species of fish. My youngest caught a nice bluefish and was on top of the world. My older one lost one and was super bummed but was immediately pumped back up by John who also provided some coaching after. After a couple slow sits, Captain John graciously answered about a thousand questions from my very inquisitive boys about boats and fishing. Then finally on to the last spot where we had hit after hit and fish after fish. We caught about 20 sheepshead and lost several more. Boys we soooo excited. Capt John was gracious enough to clean all of our fish afterwards as well once the fish cleaning service guys left the marina. Thanks John for some wonderful memories and hope to return next year!

We had a blast with Captain Jonathon! This was a trip for myself, my dad and my son and I was specifically searching for someone who was ‘kid friendly’ and Jon delivered. He was incredibly patient with all of us, especially my son. We made a lifetime memory yesterday and it’s something the three of us won’t forget. It was our first time even catching a Sheepshead, and we caught the boat limit, which was 10 fish per person (40). I even got myself my first saltwater citation with a monster 11lb 4oz!! In the words of my son, “if we could give you a million stars, we would definitely do that!”

Jonathan was very knowledgeable and experienced, making suggestions for the best outcome and experience. We love fishing at home in lakes and rivers, but never have and always wanted to in the ocean. We were hopeful of catching our dinner and we certainly met that expectation brining home one speckled trout and three red drums - about 10 lbs at least of filets!
