- My favorite fishing techniques combine precision, adventure, and deep knowledge of the Caribbean waters. I specialize in trolling for pelagic species such as mahi-mahi, wahoo, and sailfish, always adjusting speed, lure action, and line spreads to match the conditions of the day. I also enjoy bottom fishing for snapper, grouper, triggerfish, and other reef species, using both natural baits and jig presentations to target fish at different depths. Jigging is another technique I enjoy—fast, vertical, and highly effective for amberjack and strong reef predators. I also work with live bait when conditions allow, which often produces spectacular strikes and memorable fights. One of my favorite activities is spearfishing. I love diving into the clear waters of Playa del Carmen to responsibly harvest lobster, octopus, and reef species, exploring the underwater world while providing guests with a unique adventure. This combination of surface and underwater techniques allows me to offer a diverse and exciting fishing experience for every guest who steps aboard Alondra III.
