I waited to reply to this review until I had a chance to speak to Mark.  I learned a lot about expectations and relative experience. 
The day of the trip the winds were about 15 knots making for a pretty moderate day by winter Florida Keys standards.  They told me that they had extensive experience fishing the waters of NJ. so I assumed that these conditions would be of no issue to them. Traveling in a cross wind put a light spray onto the boat getting everyone a bit of spray but in no way soaked.  One passenger, while being sick, lost his glasses. In the 30 or 40 minutes that we fished the reef we did loose a few large fish, most likely mutton snapper.  After a while I was asked to move to calmer waters, to which I immediately complied.  For the rest of the couple of remaining hours of the 1/2 day trip we proceed to catch a mix of large mangrove snapper and surprisingly enough bluefish. The action was steady and everyone appeared to be having fun.  At the conclusion of the trip I cleaned the fish, was offered a few fish and was presented with a generous tip. 
I was surprised to read the User’s review.  After speaking with Mike I learned the reasons for the less than stellar review.  They thought that the sea conditions which were a relatively choppy three feet, which in a 31 Ocean Master is barely noticeable compared to most other vessels of similar size were more that I should have taken them out into.  To me a light spray was to them a soaking.  They thought that I should have been the one to recommend heading to protected waters and not waited for them to ask. They expressed disappointment that we did not explore more fishing sites during their 1/2 day 4 hour trip. Finally they believed that the Penn 750ssv reels were grossly too heavy for the job. 
With over 37 years of chartering experience I was not expecting those reasons for the unflattering review but now I know what they were thinking and might quiz more thoroughly the expectations of clients in the future.
