I arranged this trip as a Father’s Day gift for my husband while on vacation. We had a group of 3 adults. The boat was MORE than adequate to accommodate us. Captain Matt was awesome!!! He clearly knows his stuff, set us on some good fishing spots and worked his tail off baiting. Not only did we CATCH some gorgeous fish but we even hooked a small shark - even though it got away from me. I HIGHLY recommend Matt at Spartina Tails Charter Fishing. My son and I booked an all day outing and from start to finish Matt was professional, easy to communicate with and put us on fish all day. It was truly a day a couple of Nebraska sand pit fishermen won’t forget!!!

This was our first trip with Matt. He was very knowledgeable and super friendly! Had no problems catching the fish, he knew right where to go. Another bonus was he recommended The Salty Pelican to take our speckled trout and red fish to, where they will cook it for you. Matt filleted the fish and iced it for us to take. Went out on a 3/4 day with Captain Matt with my girlfriend. We had an amazing time, and had action throughout the trip. He did a great job the entire time helping my girlfriend get set up and on the fish since she rarely fishes. After all was said and done we walked away with a great sized redfish, 3 red drum, and a speckled trout. I’d recommend his charter to anyone looking for a great trip and a lot of action in Fernandina Beach. Thanks again Captain Matt!
