We recommend Christian and Caption Butch for your fishing trip! We caught 2 tuna and a big Mahi Mahi. Multiple methods were used and we also noticed that Christian and Butch were a great team together- communicating easefully. The bathroom on boat was clean and helpful for us- a family of 4. We had a fantastic day on the water with Butch and Roy fishing on the Gypsy Girl. We were hoping to catch a Sailfish. We ended up catching 6. Everyone in the boat caught a Sailfish and one of my daughters caught 3. After we caught the Sailfish we wanted to go after something for dinner. Deckmate “Christian” was pretty much the best one that I’ve ever had in over 50 years of fishing.  He was working with both outriggers, 6 lines, two multi-squid teasers, boat cleanliness, food, drink and fish cleaning continuously every minute of 10 hour trip. Captain Butch was personable and showed his experience running the boat on the difficult, late fishing season trip working hard to find and catch fish even though luck was not with us.

The day started off a bit slow, but these guys were great and we tried a few different spots and techniques, there was no hestiation to go out further to find the fish.  I really liked that!  The boat was spotless, hot lunch was better than I expected ;)  It was a great day, and i’ll use these guys again when in here in Costa Rica!

Everything about our experience with Capt Butch and First Mate Junior as perfect We have 2 children (13&10) and they did everything to accommodate them and us. Butch is from Florida so his first language is English which helped us feel a little more comfortable   Junior is local and knows everything about the local fishing scene. Having a bathroom on board was a lifesaver for our young daughter to feel comfortable I highly recommend this experience.
