If your reading this and debating booking with Todd, just stop and book it! He is your guy. We booked the 6 hour inshore and it was 2 adults and our 7 year old son who loves to fish! We were hosting family for Christmas from STL Missouri. We caught at least 7 sharks, 9 stingrays, 30 speckled trout, 2 black drum, 3 sea bass, and a robin fish.

As a mom and parent I was worried about taking the longest trip for a few reasons. 1.) sea/motion sickness. I did pre-med with zofran but did fine. 2.) bathroom breaks, we did take a bathroom break at the same marina we ported at. They also have some light snacks and drinks you can purchase. So that was nice. 3.) kids getting bored. My daughter ended up not going because I’m not sure she could have lasted 6 hrs. I wanted to include that you do go back half way or can go back to port at any time. I wish I would have had my daughter come and then had someone come pick her up if she got bored. I just did not realize that was an option. I thought we would be in the boat for 6 hours and not get off.

I know I can’t ever explain in words how amazing this trip was. It was a literal dream, I am not a big outdoorsy girl but this was the most fun I’ve had in a while. We even saw dolphins and there is something so magically about seeing them in their natural habitat. This trip was worth every penny and would absolutely do it again! I have absolutely nothing bad to say and can not wait to come back next year!! Thanks again Todd for memories we will never forget and cherish for our lifetime!

Todd did a great job of communicating prior to our trip and was an incredible host.  he took great care in making sure that we all caught fish… and did we ever catch fish!  Cant say enough good things.  We caught so many varieties.. A HUGE Red Fish, trout, flounder and SHARKS!  It was a great day.  We’ve done charters before but this was by far our best experience.  Highly recommend Todd and the 6 hour trip was the perfect amount of time.  Todd fileted the fish for us.  Cant wait to try them!

Todd Rods was absolutely amazing! The trip was fantastic from start to finish. Todd is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. This was my 13- and 14-year-old boys very first fishing charter, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He made ys feel comfortable, taught us a ton, and kept it fun the whole time. This was a 100 out of 10 trip — I would definitely recommend Todd to anyone, especially families with kids or first-timers!

We were so impressed with our fishing trip with Todd. He was so knowledgeable about the area and the fish and had the answer to any of our questions. He was really attentive and was so great with our kids. So many memories created that will last a lifetime. We’ll be talking about this trip for awhile! We couldn’t even tell you how many fish and sharks we ended up cathching, but it was a blast all day!! Thank you Todd!!

Todd was a fantastic captain and all around great guy.. Made our day memorable and even
made a stop to give us some assistance with the perfect photo op for our honeymoon album. We will be back soon to head out with him for our next visit during the holiday season. we fished several spots. got a really good tour of the Matansas and a great view of St Augustine. caught several different types of fish and saw wildlife. Todd is our man to fish St Augustine, He and his family have lived here basically all his life. we recommend Todds Rods!!
