Five of us went out with Captain John, including one six-year-old. We all had very little or no knowledge or experience. John carefully explained the timetable and his plan to get us to the best spots.  He got us set up with our rods, baited them, and gave us beginners tips on how to use them. He took us to about ten different spots because the fish were uncooperative, and he wanted everyone to catch something. We had a great time doing a 4 hour nearshore trip with Captain John. He was very welcoming and knowledgable, and explained all parts of the process throughout the entire trip. I learned more than I had on previous fishing experiences. We ended up catching four Bonito and a Spanish Mackerel, and he took the time to filet the fish for us at the end. Definitely would recommend and would book a trip with again.

Great communication throughout. Captain John paid close attention to the weather, tides and previous days results. He guided us to the reef where we had several catches. His first mate was great, ensured we had bait and excellent “presentation” for the fish. Captain John is simply awesome to talk with and always had a back up plan. Changed up our bait a few times and within minutes we had bites. I’m looking forward to our next trip in 2026.

I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful fishing trip. The whole family had a wonderful experience, enjoying both the boat ride and your kind accommodations.
