- I, the founder of Salty Vets, am a Veteran with deep roots in the water. Growing up in Crystal River, Florida, I had my first boat at the age of 10 and spent every day on the water. After high school, I worked at a power plant in the nuclear division for two years. In 2006, I decided to join the military, where I served in Air Defense Artillery, working with ground-to-air missiles. During my time in service, I deployed twice to South Korea and once to Afghanistan. In 2013, I transitioned out of active duty and continued my service in the reserves as a wrecker mechanic until 2017. That year, I pursued my passion for the water and earned my Captain's License, launching Salty Vets to offer inshore and offshore fishing charters and private captain services. I served clients from Crystal River to Tampa Bay and the surrounding areas. In 2024, I relocated to Boynton Beach, Florida, where I now run my business for private boat owners, continuing to provide top-tier maritime services. As your Captain, my goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone aboard. I want my guests to create lasting memories, share plenty of laughs, and have an unforgettable time. I feel truly fortunate to turn my passion into my career.
