A great trip Varun and his crew. Awesome vibes and non-stop action in the morning. Haddock coming over the gunnel 2 at a time, with good size. Things slowed down after the tide change, so we pivoted to rocky bottom and the cusk starting voming over the gunnel. A smooth trip in, with the firdt bluefin breaking top water sighted this season. We’ll take 100 more days like today please!

Storms the night before seemed to scatter the bait. No luck with mackerel early, so headed off looking for schools of bunker. The rain looked to have pushed them off-shore as well. Finally found a good school of Macks off the gloucedter humps. Loaded the baitwell and set ip for stripers. The action was fast a consistent, with 8 fish landed in 90 minutes - several over slot.

Large schools of pogies/bunker are passing vlose by Gloucester. We are seeing cow stripers aggressively feeding from underneath. Snagging and live lining ate the tickets. Remember, recreation anglers can keep one fish a piece, and the slot limit continues to be 28-31”.
