I am an extremely popular inshore fishing guide because my power and expertise on the skiff's poling platform provides safe and unparalleled fishing adventures. Each trip is customized for adults and delighting youngsters for parental smiles, or serious angling as I am extremely competitive and have won many awards as both angler and guide from tournaments in the Florida Keys. I am USCG Master Captain, a respected member of the National Association of Charter Boat Operators, the Florida Guides Association and the Florida Keys Fishing Guides Association. I am a fly fishing specialist and do my best by EVERY angler to ensure a fun, fulfilling experience fishing the beautiful upper Florida Keys.
Techniques
I offer every type fishing out of the Florida Keys, and am also a fly-fishing specialist. I have first class equipment and with advance notice, will customize any necessary fly rods for you depending on which hand you reel with Spin fishing is always a thrill whether with bait, artificial or plastic and is awesome and for spin fishermen we will often start our day catching our own live, fresh bait for greater productivity.

The Florida Keys backcountry, inshore fishing is calm, beautiful, serene and offers the BONUS of spectacular wildlife sightings for a heightened inspirational uplifting experience courtesy of Mother Nature . It is a truly glorious occurrence beyond just catching fish which is pretty awesome by itself. A fall charter offers a breathtaking visual in addition to the opportunity presented while fishing for juvenile tarpon, snook, reds, mackerel, jacks, trout and the fun shark catch.

Yes, Capt. Larry Sydnor guided Islamorada's own Betsy Bullard when she came through at last weekend's Herman Lucerne 7-species fishing tournament taking home three awards that takes place entirely within Everglades National Park boundaries catching and releasing 6 species to take TOP FEMALE GUIDED, GENERAL DIVISION WINNER, and LARGEST SNAPPER @ 19.5"!! Only the snook eluded us - all were under the required 28", twice missing it by under a HALF INCH (FULL MOON?)
