Really enjoyed guiding this father and 17 year old son and I appreciate the forthcoming review.  It was unfortunate that conditions were far less than perfect in that there was not the necessary water movement, preferred bait was not delivered that morning because of the holiday weekend, and a worm hatch had occurred in the 48 hours prior so fish were not hungry.  I am a big talker but I take my cue from my angling guests and knew from the pretrip communications this was all about the son and he was very quiet so I too talked little..  I am going to be reaching out to FishingBooker because I always encourage guests from elsewhere to visit my personal website (which is easily searchable and reachable from my name) to become familiar with what to expect and there is an entire page on What To Bring that includes the advice to consider having amber sunglasses which improves fish visibility through the water - plus hats and sun protection, to name a few.  I didn’t know my guests did not know this.  I often am left to feel I provide too much information to guests which they find intrusive when they just want to relax.  Most are unhappy if I inquire about their skill levels to help me plan my charter.  I did my best to put them on fish and get hookups and constantly strive to improve customer experiences so again I thank them for their honest sharing.

I am so glad they had fun because it was a good day and they were good anglers.  Really a beautiful, awesome day, weather conditions perfect but found only a few fish as most were out spawning.

Through his review, It is concerning to me that Bill didn’t seem overly happy with me or his experience mentioning nothing over 3 lbs,  but in all fairness a great feature of FishingBooker is the encouragement of anglers and Captain communication and Bill had shared with me under Additional Info in his public booking form when first arranging the booking online that he does NOT do a particular precise arduous casting technique and he was dealing with “arthritis in hands”.  For others booking please understand Captains use this information to plan the best day for each specific angler and I did not target big fish, requiring overly strenuous retrieves and heavy reeling for Bill under the circumstances of what he had immediately shared of his limitations before the trip so I feel a bit blindsided by a small part of his review taking ultimate enjoyment at least out of its totality that it was a great day and I had worked hard plus the beauty of it all and he would recommend me.  But I felt this was an educational moment I should address for others.
