Lots of fish being caught right now! Vermillion snapper tablefare and amberjacks are catch and release!

We had beautiful weather and the fish were chewin! This group of 6 got a solid limit of super tasty vermillion snapper and caught a bunch of heavy hitting amberjacks! Lets go! Spring time is here!

The fishing is going great right now, the last few trips have been cranking out fish after fish after fish! Lets go!!

First trip of 2024 and we got our limit of vermillion snapper and white snappers, it was a 5 hour offshore trip. Lots of triggerfish and red snapper as well!

Whats up my Panhandle anglers?! February is here and the sun is starting to peak its head back out. This has been a wet and stormy winter due to it being an El Nino. The seas have been rough and its been relatively chilly but there hasn’t been much of consistency in the weather, with temps cold at night and hot during the day. I have been staying on the lunar clock as far as fishing times go because its been very accurate. Inshore fishing will be a mix of Redfish, Sheepshead and white trout. All of which can be found around structure, rocks, bridge pilings, and deep water bottom structure in the bay and pass. Shrimp, fiddler crabs, oysters, and night crawlers or bloodworms have been the baits of choice and Bird of Prey jigs are killer for sheepshead. This time of year offshore bottom fishing can be tricky trying to find something thats open to harvest. Flounder will be making their way down the beaches in 60 foot or less off the edges of big wrecks or chicken coops. Vermillion snapper will be good to harvest if you can find them! I like February every year because thats when some GIANT JACKS are on almost all the big name wrecks and they are starving! If you want a great fight send down a live bait and hold on! If you get a weather window to run far enough to the FADS then there maybe some wahoo around or some mahi. First light is best so turn on you radar and navigation and safety lights and leave on your journey in the dark. Next month the fishing should really heat up! See yall then!
