- Born and raised Alaskan. I Grew up in a Salmon hatchery my father ran in Moose Pass. Ive been fishing Alaska since I could walk and have vast knowledge of the fisheries all over South Central Alaska. Being a biologists son and avid fisherman since I could walk, I've found out the intricacies of each fishery the area has to offer. Chugach Backcountry Fishing guides are also all Local Alaskans. We pride ourselves in being one of the only companies that uses local Alaskans for our guides with our captains owning and operating their own hunting and fishing businesses outside of the summer seasons!
