We had a great time and caught fish with Makana Lani Fishing Charters. Captain Shawn and Joe were great and knowledgeable about the Hawaii and fishing around the Island. We also talked about many other topics thanks to Joe. You guys were definitely entertaining and fun!! I recommend anyone looking to catch fish and have a great experience book these guys!! Shawn and Joe were great!! Communicated well when plans need to change because of a truck issue. My son and I each caught an ono!!!  Then we caught a few bottom fish and that was only a 4hr trip!!

We had an amazing trip. Shawn and Joe had us on the fish all day. We were able to hook up on skipjack early and often. An action packed four hour trip. Even had a shot at a marlin. I would highly recommend.

Capt. Shawn and First Mate Joe provided an awesome experience for our family! Although we were not able to hook into a large game fish, we were able to get a few smaller fish and each family member reeled in their catch. The boat and experience were excellent! Would highly recommend the Makana Lani to anyone looking for a great experience while in Kona!

Captain and crew were awesome. Informative, great company and got us on fish! We brought our 7 year old for her first ocean fish….could not have been more pleased the Captain and crew were great with her! Highly recommend would go out with them again. Being from Alaska we have had our fair share of fishing. We did not leave sad!!! And dinner that night was delicious!
