This was the first fishing charter I ever booked. My son and daughter-in-law were visiting and I thought it would be fun to go out on the local waters with them, having never seen the area from such a vantage point. It was way way more than I ever expected.

Captain Brian made us feel extremely comfortable from the minute we met up with him. He explained everything in layman’s terms so there were no surprises and we knew exactly what was going on every minute. He reviewed the safety procedures and made sure we knew exactly what to do in the event of anything unexpected.

Captain Brian had all the equipment on board and even offered to put the bait on each hook. He took great care to thoroughly explain how to properly cast and, if any lines got tangled, he would carefully un-tangle them one by one.

If the fish weren’t biting after several casts, we would move on to another spot he knew they would be. And Captain Brian was spot on, as we began to haul them out of the water one-by-one. We experienced Charleston from many different areas on the water. It almost felt like sightseeing with some great angling added for good measure!

Captain Brian did all this while piloting the boat expertly, offering various stories of his fishing experiences, and all with his unique sense of humor and good-nature.

Once finished, Captain Brian took the haul and cleaned each fish so we could take them home for our very own
“shore lunch” in our own kitchen. This was an experience not to be missed and, with zero hesitation, I would highly recommend Silverbeard Charters.

I realize there are many choices when it comes to this type of hire. But why bother seeking some other “silver lining” charter when Silverbeard offers an unforgettable experience beyond compare. This really proves the cliche “you get what you pay for” and, in my opinion, Captain Brian is the best in the business.

I was lucky enough to have two separate trips with Capt. Brian Moniz of Silverbeard Charters. The first was an inshore trip and the second an offshore. Both trips were excellent!
The inshore trip led to an inshore slam within the first 30 minutes and then multiple trout the last 30 minutes of the day!
The real fun was the offshore trip! Two ARS! Definite keepers, if it was in season! Vermillion, ringtails, grunt, sea bass, sharks! So much fun and I can’t wait to go ASAP! Get on board! This charter is where it’s at!

Oh and Brian isn’t a bad guy either!

We left the boat launch bright and early and the captain had already prepped the boat and caught all the bait fish needed for the day!!  We had an amazing day catching everything from Bull Reds to Bonnet Heads to Black sea Bass and Sharks.  Very Professional and knows exactly where the fish are and when the tide is right for the area. Highly recommend this charter for a great experience on the SC coast and inland fishing - 5 STARS.

We had an awesome time today with Captain Brian. He was great to work with, had tons of helpful pointers, was a great conversationalist, and we truly had a memorable experience. We caught a wide variety and enjoyed our time thoroughly. The flounder was delicious!
