Background: I have been a fisherman since I can remember, but charter fishing offered an opportunity to earn a living while doing something I enjoy. After 43 years, it is still as exciting as it was when I first started it. I was lucky enough to have a client catch the current state record for Coho Salmon in 1999, which is 26 pounds, 2 ounces. I look forward to breaking the record again sometime in the future.

The crew of the Pegasus took a day off of fishing to go fishing! Placing third out of 95 boats was a good showing in a tournament that Captain Mike started 25 years ago.

Capt. Mike was very nice. He kept us updated on potentially bad weather and was willing to work with us to avoid it and still get to go on our outing. We ended up leaving the harbor a couple hours earlier than scheduled because of the upcoming weather. The fish weren’t biting like we had hoped, but Capt. Mike did everything possible and we did end up catching a few big ones and ended up with more than enough to feed us and more. We had fun and it was a great experience.
