The way a fishing charter should be ! The crew was as salty as they come and beyond super cool! A laid back vibe, but also down to business about the fishing.  The way it should be. The captain and deck hand knew their stuff and put us on the fish. There were two young boys on the trip, 11 yrs old and they had a blast! Not over crowded, and the crew was respectful and fun to be around. Everyone caught fish and had fun! Highly recommend. Capt James and his crew.

Our captain, Anthony, was friendly and accommodating. This was a family trip with three generations attending. The crew was extremely helpful to my elderly father, and generous with the family members who weren’t experienced fisher-people. We caught many fish, a little smaller than we were hoping for, but my guess is most people say that about any fishing trip. I definitely recommend this trip for anyone looking for an enjoyable time on Lake Tahoe.

My wife and I have been visiting Tahoe on and off for years, but we’d never chartered a fishing trip in Tahoe until this summer. We booked a 4-hour private fishing trip through fishing broker with a Tahoe Sports Fishing in South Lake Tahoe, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences we’ve ever had on the lake.
Initially, we hit a small snag: the boat we’d booked was undergoing repairs due to delays beyond the company’s control. However, the office staff was exceptional—promptly notifying us and rearranging our trip to ensure we weren’t disappointed. Their professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction were evident from the start, and they assured us we’d have a great time. They weren’t wrong.
Captain Sammy, our guide, made this trip truly unforgettable. His approach was the perfect blend of professionalism, patience, and intuition, tailored to our expectations. We wanted to catch 2–3 fish for a fresh dinner while soaking in Tahoe’s stunning scenery, and Sammy delivered beyond our hopes. He was friendly, engaging, and took the time to share his expertise, making us feel comfortable whether we were fishing or just enjoying the lake’s beauty.
The trip itself was flawless. The boat was well-equipped, the lake was breathtaking, and Sammy’s knowledge of the best fishing spots ensured we met our goal with ease. We caught three beautiful fish, which made for a delicious dinner, and spent the rest of the time enjoying the crystal-clear waters and surrounding mountains. It wasn’t just a fishing trip—it was a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.
This was hands-down one of the best fishing trips we’ve ever taken, and we’re already looking forward to booking with this charter company again. Captain Sammy and deck hand “Spotify” the entire team turned a potential hiccup into a highlight of our Tahoe memories. If you’re considering a fishing trip in South Lake Tahoe, don’t hesitate to book with them—you won’t be disappointed!

This was my sons’ (7 & 10 yo) first fishing experience and I could not be more satisfied with the experience! From start to finish, everything was great. Prior to our trip, there was great communication from the office to make sure we were prepared for the trip beforehand. The charter was on time (both departure and arrival), the captain (Zach) and his deckhand (Nate) were polite, knowledgeable, prepared and treated all of us great - really made sure our boys had a great experience. They knew where the fishing was unsuccessful recently and took us straight to where we had the best chance to catch something - the two groups on the boat caught a dozen or so fish combined. Nate cleaned the fish right on-board and Zach gave us the best recommendation - to take our catch to MacDuff’s down the street and have them cook it up for us! Could not recommend both Tahoe Sport Fishing and MacDuff’s Pub enough. The entire day exceeded expectations - it’s a day our family will never forget! Thank you so much to the whole crew!
