- Hi, I'm your Captain Matt Dirksen! I have grown up on the banks of the Fraser River. My love for fishing began at a young age catching suckers off the dock with my Uncle. In later years my parents knew I was hooked on fishing and bought me my very first fly rod! From here on out my passion turned to an addiction... No piece of water stood a chance when I was near. After years of practice I made the Canadian Youth National Fly Fishing Team. I was fortunate enough to represent Canada at numerous fly fishing world championships across the globe. My childhood bedroom soon became a tackle store. Filled with all sorts of gear and sponsors sending me the latest greatest equipment. Once I graduated high school I had the opportunity to become a fishing guide. I started in 2017 and have guided all across B.C for multiple species and techniques. My heart belongs to the Fraser River where I have been catching sturgeon since the age of 10. I was caught skipping school on multiple occasions but for all the right reasons... To this day there is no place I would rather be then out on the river fishing the best place on earth! So come sit back, Relax, and enjoy an action packed day on the water with me!

- I love targeting Sturgeon on the Fraser River. Nothing beats it! It's like a Marlin and a Halibut combined. You catch them in the depths of the dark, murky river and they soar up to the surface at a million mph and jump sky high! You have to come see for yourself...
