- Capt. Joshua Milns is your guide to an unforgettable fishing adventure in the waters of North Vancouver, and the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The crew has you covered if you wish to try bottom fishing, spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, gigging, fly fishing, or other techniques. The only way to learn is to join them on the water.
- Techniques
- Preferred fishing techniques: Jigging for halibut, lingcod or rock cod. I like to use heavy duty fishing rods and jig paddle tails with weighted heads. For salmon, the preferred technique I like to use is trolling with spoons or cut plug bait. There are occasion when we fly fish for them as well, coaxing coho or chinook out of kelp beds. Albacore is strictly done offshore at a fast rate, surface trolling with zuckers / clones using heavy fishing rods and tackle, trying to find schools in the blue water and can be found sometimes 20 - 40km offshore.
