If you’re looking for a fun morning activity, go jigging for mackerel with Captain Joe. On the way out to Casco bay in search of mackerel, Captain Joe pointed out some interesting facts about the area and wildlife. He shared his knowledge of jigging with us first time fishermen. We had a fun experience. We cleaned them ourselves and prepared them as he suggested. Grilled them up and enjoyed eating our catch. Thank you Captain Joe!

Captain was great.  My 7 and 13 year olds had a great time fishing.  The saw pogies at the dock, a ship catching bait in a net and so caught so many mackerel that they lost count.  Captain did a great job finding the fish and explaining what he was doing to the kids.  We saw porpoises on the way bak to the dock.  The kids are all ready to go again next year.  Definitely will rebook with the same Captain.

What a beautiful day to be out on the water.  Although my son didn’t catch the “big one” it certainly wasn’t for the lack of Captain Coleman and his First Mate Joeseph’s trying.  It didn’t help that we were on the tail end of Striper season either, but the Mac’s were hittin’. 100% reccomend Coleman’s Guide service.  See you again next year.

Fishing started out hot!! Took home some mackerel and crab for a campfire dinner. We weren’t able to hook up to any Stripped Bass, however, Captain Joe and his Son kept us entertained with the picturesque views and historical information of both Maine and Casco Bay.  We enjoyed our time thoroughly and would highly recommend Coleman Guide Services.

Captain Joe and his first mate, Jack, showed us a great time on the bay. We caught a ton of mackerel! He even filleted one for us to have sushi on board. It was not that tasty of a fish, but was still a great experience for my kids. We didn’t catch any strippers. Oh well! Maybe next time !
