Booked a 6 hour striper trip that started at 7am.  My son nailed the first striper 5 minutes in.  Little did we know that we would be hauling them in all day.  We ended up catching over 40.  Once we had around 30 at the 3 hour mark, Captain Jason asked us if we wanted to go bigger.  He took us to a spot that was quieter in terms of boats and the big stripers were running.  We doubled up on them several times including 2 at 43 inches that first mate Mason masterfully managed to help us bring in when the lines were crossed. We even caught a striper on a top water lure.  This is the second year in a row that we booked at this time of year and have not been dissappointed.  If you are looking for a captain that knows where the stripers are, Captain Jason is your guy.

Had a great trip with Captain Jason Perry, of Rising Sun Sportfishing, filling in for his father, Jeff, on the First Light. My crew was myself, my son, and my 8 year old grandson.  Jason had us on the striped bass early in the trip, and it was only and hour or so before we had our three fish limit plus several released fish.  Then we transitioned to flounder fishing.  Once lines were in, it was non-stop action.  We caught our limit of flounder in a couple hours, sometimes two at a time.  The mate, Mason, was great to work with.  He was very patient and helpful with my grandson, and educated my son and I on the techniques that produce fish.  We actually asked Jason to bring us in an hour or so early since my grandson was tired and we had a lot of fish to clean.  The captain and mate took care of the fish cleaning, and we went back to our rental with a full cooler.  I highly recommend this charter!

Took my whole family out with Capt’n. Jason and his Mate Mason today. The bay whipped up with some crazy wind but these guys knew just want to do to land some stripers in crazy conditions. I landed a 30” dinner plate striper and my 12yo son Ryan caught the biggest fish of his life with another (26” catch and release) striper. We also caught a skate and a couple of crabs. Capt’n and crew were a couple of really good dudes and they totally know the bay. On the way out when I saw the wind I thought we were gonna get skunked, but not with this crew. Highly recommended. Don’t hesitate.. just do it..

Captain Jeff and First Mate Jason couldn’t have been better. It was the end of the season, so catching fish wasn’t a given, and they managed to find where they were and guide to a bounty. They’re super helpful and relaxed and I will book them again in a heartbeat.

We have been on a few fishing trips over the years and this one was probably the best. Not only did we catch a ton of fish but both Captain Jeff and Mason were great hosts. The boat was very comfortable too - we normally have to stand as we fish but we all had chairs.
