We planned this trip as a team building day to cap off a business planning session and it couldn’t have gone better. Captain Wallace was very responsive to messages before the trip. When we arrived he had a few crabs already waiting for us. We dropped a couple prawn traps and we were off salmon fishing. 4 of our group of 6 had never landed a salmon on a rod but that changed within minutes of getting the lines wet. What a memorable day! Not only did we get to experience ocean fishing, we also got to experience seeing humpback whales, seals, sea lions, river otters, a box crab and hermit crab, spotted prawns, octopus, eagles and squat lobsters (somethings we have never seen before). Unbelievable experience with the best, Captain Joe and First Mate Aaron. Highly recommend spending the day with them, you won’t be disappointed.

We had a wonderful trip with Joe and Erin. Erin was so knowledgeable about the marine life and Joe had us on the fish. Conversation was great, views were spectacular and we wrestled fish into the boat. Gabriola is a wonderful island and we made an entire day of it. I highly recommend.

Joe and his wife did a great job of making the trip fun and enjoyable. It was a guided tour of the beautiful Gabriola island filled with wildlife and amazing views. They were both knowledgeable and helpful for experienced and someone who has never fished. Highly recommended!

Our family grew up in a commercial fishing home on Lake Winnipeg. But to be on the Ocean was another experience! We had so much fun! Thank you for the excitement and for the stories!!
