- Background
- Captain Jarad “Dingo” Boshammer has been fishing all his life and charter fishing for the past 20 years. Both his grandfather and father were fishermen – his father had offshore and inshore charter boats in Australia. When Jarad graduated from school, he went out to the Great Barrier Reef to chase giant Black Marlin. He then traveled all around the world and fished about 20 different countries, and now he lives in Florida. He came back to his grass roots – fishing flats and backcountry. His favorite place for inshore and backcountry fishing is Florida and for offshore The Great Barrier Reef. Captain Jarad is also an accomplished tournament angler – he won the Bermuda Triple Crown Tournament with 1023 lb Blue Marlin.
- Techniques
- I like to fish many different styles and use what works best. My techniques are constantly evolving with the nature of the fish I'm targeting. The conditions constantly change and so do my methods to catch fish. I love pitching top water lures for the excitement of an aggressive explosion on the bait and visual experience. The same can be said for pitching a live mullet along a sea wall and having fish triggered to smash the bait off the surface. Fly fishing is one of the greatest challenges in the outdoor world, similar to archery or golf. Sight fishing, seeing your query and the satisfaction from watching a fish eat a well placed fly, lure or bait is a great feeling and one I love to share with other anglers. I am well versed in every style of fishing and can cater to the wishes and experience of every angler.
