Lake Huron Oscoda Fishing Report - Mid J

Lake trout fishing continues to be excellent, with anglers consistently "crushing it" using Spin Doctor and Spin-n-glo combos, which have been putting trout in the boat on every trip. Silver fish, including Coho salmon, Atlantic salmon, and steelhead, are also being caught on weighted steel with spoons in the top 50 feet of water. While some days have presented challenging conditions with roaring or bumpy waters, the fish have remained active, offering steady bites for lake trout and an improved bite for silver species on calmer afternoons. DNR fisheries personnel are also present at the docks, collecting valuable data on the catches.

The fish didn’t want to cooperate at first, but Adam switched up locations and gear, and helped us get some salmon and lakers in the box. Great captain, great boat, great trip. Our two young daughters had a blast!
